Current Series: Fix Your Eyes, A Study in Hebrews
If you were on a journey through the book of Hebrews you might look out of the windows with blurred vision, not taking in or understanding the landscape. You might stop at some landmarks (like chapter eleven’s ‘Hall of Faith’) and enjoy the majestic view, but most of the trip might pass into obscurity.
In this series we will fix our eyes, focus in, and enjoy the detailed landscape of the Book of Hebrews. This letter was written to followers of Christ who had begun to lose their focus while living in an environment that was inhospitable to their faith in Christ. The unknown author of Hebrews seeks to sharpen the readers vision of Jesus, reminding them of the reason for the faith they had chosen, and challenging them to remain true to it. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus! (Hebrews 12:2)
It was our pleasure to offer our annual Christmas Bible School again this year. The kids had a blast making friends, playing games, making Christmas creations, building marshmallow snowmen, eating them (of course), and they heard of Jesus, the Savior, who came to show us the way to safety in His house. I hope all the parents enjoyed some time for themselves and were blessed by their kid’s smiling faces upon their arrival. Christmas blessings to all who participated and to those who volunteered to make this event possible. Merry Christmas from House of Faith!
